Weather for today:

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies along Dhofar coasts and mountains with intermittent drizzle. Mainly clear with chance of cloud advection over rest of the governorates with chance of convective clouds development over parts of Al Hajar Mountains towards afternoon associated with isolated rain occasionally thundershower and downdrafts. Chances of rising dust over deserts and open areas caused by fresh wind over Dhofar, Al Wusta and South Al Sharqiyah governorate. Chance of late night to early-morning low clouds and fog along parts of the coastal areas of Oman Sea and Arabian Sea.

Winds:

Along the coastal areas of Oman Sea winds will be northeasterly to easterly light to moderate and over rest of the governorates it will be southwesterly to variable light to moderate and fresh over the desert areas of Dhofar, Al Wusta and South Al Sharqiyah governorates, southerly to southwesterly fresh along Arabian Sea coasts.

Sea State:

Moderate to Rough along the coastal areas of Arabian Sea with maximum wave height RANGES BETWEEN 2.0 TO 3.5 meters. Slight along rest of the coasts of the Sultanate of oman with maximum wave height of 1.25 meter.

Cautions:

- Thundershowers, downdraft and hail over parts of Al Hajar mountains and parts of Dhofar coasts. - Mod/Rough Sea along Arabian Sea coasts. - Rising dust over open areas of Dhofar, Al wusta and South Al Sharqiyah. - Fog formation along coastal areas of Arabian Sea and Oman Sea.

Horizontal Visibility:

Good may reduced during thundeshower, fog formation and dust rising.
