Weather for today:
Mainly Clear skies over most of the governorates with chance of cloud formation over al Hajar mountains towards afternoon with chance of isolated rain. Partly cloudy skies along Dhofar coasts with chance of isolated rain. Chances of rising dust over the desert and open areas . Chances of low clouds or fog patches at late night and early morning over parts of South Al Sharqiyah , Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates .
Winds:
along the coastal areas of Oman Sea winds will be northeasterly light to moderate becoming variable light to moderate at night and over rest of the Sultanate of Oman governorates wind will be southerly to southwesterly light to moderate and fresh along arabian sea coasts and over desert and open areas.
Sea State:
Moderate to rough along the coastal areas of Arabian Sea with maximum wave height of 3.5 meters. Moderate along western of musandam with maximum wave height of 2.0 meters and slight along rest of the Sultanate of Oman coasts with maximum wave height of 1.25 meters.
Cautions:
- Moderate to rough wave height along parts of Arabian Sea. - Fresh winds over desert and open areas.
Horizontal Visibility:
Good in general, but reduced during dust rising and in case of fog formation.
