Weather for today:

Partly cloudy skies along Dhofar coasts and mountains with intermittent drizzle , chance of convective formation over the desert areas of the gavernate with isolated rain . Mainly Clear skies over rest of the governorates with chance of convective clouds formation over Al Hajar mountains toward afternoon with a chance of isolated rain occasionally thundershower associated with downdraft winds and hail. Chance of dust rising over desert areas of Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, North Al Sharqiyah and Dhofar and along Arabian sea coast. Chances of low clouds or fog patches at late night and early morning over parts of South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta governorates and Dhofar.

Winds:

Along the coastal areas of Oman Sea winds will be northeasterly to southeasterly light to moderate and over Arabian Sea it will be southwesterly moderate to fresh, while over rest of the governorates it will be southerly to southeasterly light to moderate .

Sea State:

Moderate to rough along the coastal areas of Arabian Sea with maximum wave height of 4.5 meters and Slight to moderate along Oman Sea coasts with maximum wave height of 1.5 meters and slight along west of Musandam coasts with maximum wave height of 1.0 meter.

Cautions:

- Chance of Thundershowers, downdraft, hail and dust rising in afternoon. - Moderate to Rough sea along Arabian Sea coasts.

Horizontal Visibility:

Good in general, but reduced in the areas of thundershowers, hail, dust rising and fog formation.
