The latest weather maps and analysis indicate heavy thunderstorms accompanied with strong downdraft winds and hail during tomorrow Saturday, over governorates of Al Buraimi, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, Muscat and parts of North Al Sharqiyah and South Al Sharqiyah governorates.
Impact level: Moderate to high.
Alerts:

Heavy thundershowers are expected associated with hail and may cause flashfloods (Wadis).
Strong downdraft active winds with speed ranging 15 – 35 knots (28 – 46 km/h).
Reduction in horizontal visibility during thundershowers.
Chance of isolated rain with thundershowers over governorates of Musandam, Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates.
Impact level: : Low (limited).

The Civil Aviation Authority advices all to take precautions during thundershower, not to cross Wadis (Flashfloods), avoid low laying areas and not to sail during alert period.
